My art is created meditatively. I obscure the distinctions between digital and natural by challenging the notion of complex technology with the idea of simplicity—simplicity as a gateway to go beyond either a distinctive digital genre or mimicry of the traditional, through a contemplative interaction between myself and the digital media.

My artistic process blends quietness with creativity to produce the message. Though not devoid of intrinsic concept, I find it important that those who see my art attach their own meanings based upon their own identities. I am attracted to random, simple and ironic imagery, geometric abstractions, and the shapes of formal symbols such as alphabetic characters. How these formal characters encrypt our thoughts is an underlying theme.

Creating art engages more than the sense of sight. Paint has a smell, brushes have a tactile feel, bristles make a swishing sound. I redefine this experience into the seemingly less sensate world of ones and zeros, engaging the spirit and senses in a meditative process apart from technique and uncovering organic ways to present them. This intentional quietness and prayer forms a bridge between introspection, the infinite, and creativity.
